Automation is the Key to Mass Production in The Near Future

The growth chart of infrastructure in bearing industry is consistently in positive. This, coupled with, positive growth of automotive industry has created the demand for technically advanced and dependable bearings. According to the Mr. Shailesh Tribhuvondas Lall, the Managing Director of Bajaj Bearings Private Limited, in the near future, automation is the only key to progress.

Our Range of Bearings

We are manufacturer and exporter of all types of bearings, wherein nearly 90% are for the aftermarket for automotive segment, that is for the taper-roller bearings. Our products are also applicable in the oil and gas industry.

There is positivity in the bearings industry

Current scenario of the bearing industry is very good. Infrastructure, automotive industry are growing upward.  The manufacturing price of bearings (for export orders) is on the higher side in comparison to the Indian currencies. So profit margin will stay in positive. We are also abiding with the GST rules and regulations, which has had big impact on our performance.

In India, we are supplying our bearings to Gujarat Tractors, Tafe Tractors and just a few other OEM companies.

How do we increase the life cycle of our products?

The overall life of the bearings is completely dependent on the grease and material used to make it. We are using only the market approved raw material, which basically seals its quality assurance. At the initial level, we emphasize on three main parameters of steel viz hardness, width and quality.

What are the effects of automation in the manufacturing process?

For larger companies, automation is very helpful and we aim to benefit from it in the near future. Smaller companies (having turnover of Rs 10-50 crore) might not benefit with automation, since it comes with higher cost. CNC machines are used by us for the processes of turning and rallying. Since we have automation in our company, we are able to afford the investment. With this, mass production becomes easy and reduces the end price of products.

Indian vs Chinese Manufacturers

Chinese manufacturers implement automation in their processes and so they are able to quote competitive prices as compared to the Indian manufacturers. Along with this, they are also benefited from their Government. For us, there is no direct support from the Indian Government. There is a 'refund of tax' option, which takes anytime between three to four months.
